What on earth is the KKG?
The Kanata Kareer Group is a self-help group, open to everyone from the local area who is seeking to rejoin the workforce. We hold weekly meetings with typical attendance of fifteen to thirty members. After attending your first meeting you will be invited to participate in the online community of over 800 people. Most members have worked in the high tech industry, but many other professions are represented.
What’s in it for me?
The KKG is a great way to get away from the computer for a couple of hours a week. You’ll network with a diverse and interesting group of fellow job-seekers, participate in self-help training sessions, learn about the latest career opportunities from employers and hear from experts in the career and job search field. If you join our executive team (membership open to all) you’ll also have an opportunity to work on your presentation and meeting management skills, while interacting with employers and career experts!
Our sponsor
The Kanata Kareer Group is supported by the Kanata United Church as a non-denominational community outreach program. We are grateful to them for over ten years of support.
We were happy to deliver our Shareholder Report to the church’s congregation on October 14, 2012 – it was our way of letting them know what we do to ensure a good return on their investment in us.
